Home Automation with Fantech

Comfort
Throughout the mid- to late-twentieth century, Americans saw a large increase in home technology, particularly with appliances designed to make home life easier. From washing dishes by hand to automatic dishwashers, and from washing clothes on a wash board to automatic washing machines, America quickly moved towards home appliances that relied more on autonomy than user operation.
This period in time allowed homeowners more free time as well, and as we moved closer to the 21st century, home automation appliances became even more accessible. And while we do not have a personal humanoid robot serving staff, we are surrounded by high-tech home appliances. From motion video doorbells to cloud-based voice speakers, homes can be outfitted with automation devices relatively easily thanks to these advances in technology.
At Fantech, we want to offer ventilation products that will increase indoor air quality without so much as a thought. So we compiled some of our favorite Fantech automation products below to help you or your customers breathe easy.
ECO-Touch Auto IAQ
Fantech offers automated whole home ventilation to help the home breathe easier. Pairing an ECO-Touch Auto IAQ control with an ATMO, HERO, or another Fantech fresh air appliance will provide a hands-off approach to whole home ventilation.
Automation Based on User Preference
The ECO-Touch Auto IAQ conforms to user preferences, and when the IAQ is at it’s best, the screen on the control displays 3 leaves. The leaves help the user determine the best IAQ settings for their home. The user can use the leaves to optimize how the unit reacts to higher indoor relative humidity (RH) and to the severity of outdoor conditions. Once correctly calibrated, the control’s ECO Mode takes care of the home’s ventilation by itself, and will automatically adjust based on user preferences.
Additionally, the ECO-Touch Auto IAQ senses when the total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) within the living space increase, and will modulate ventilation (according to user preferences). Some situations when this control activates automatically includes during cooking, cleaning, and large home family gatherings.
Laundry Exhaust
We offer other automation solutions outside of the standard areas of the home. Our dryer exhaust solutions and duct boosting fans both utilize pressure sensing technology. This creates faster drying times for homeowners and keeps the duct run free of lint.
DEDPV-705
Our Dryer Exhaust Duct Power Ventilator (DEDPV-705) is listed with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) 705, which regulates the safety of dryer exhaust products. Once the dryer begins to operate, the DEDPV-705 automatically energizes. After 5 minutes, a cool down cycle begins once the dryer completes the run cycle; no user intervention necessary. The DEDPV-705 is UL-listed for both gas & electric dryer applications, and the DEDPV-705 comes with an indicator panel, forewarning the user with a visual indication of correct operation incorrect operation by indicating pressure increase. This indication forewarns the user so they can proactively clean the duct run and ultimately reduce the possibility of an in-home dryer fire.
